Twiddle Tour Lights Up Florida
Twiddle dove into their huge fall tour in Athens GA (with two dates postponed — thanks, Florence). They followed with their biggest incursion into Florida — Tallahassee, Gainesville, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, and Jacksonville. The reactions from many who’d never seen the band live spoke volumes: blown minds and melted faces up and down the state.
We were lucky enough to catch the Gainesville show at High Dive, and our photographer Jess Phillips was at the Crowbar show in Ybor City, Tampa. In Gainesville, young Gainesville quintet Tamayo opened with an enthusiastic set filled with interesting ideas. Then Twiddle managed to tear the place down with a blistering set, kicked off by a massive 42-minute opening sequence that bobbed and weaved like Sugar Ray Leonard.
In Tampa, Row Jomah from Clearwater kicked the show off in proper fashion before Twiddle again made many new fans with a huge throwdown. Enjoy Jess’s great photo gallery!
