The great folks up at Brooklyn Comes Alive are gearing up for their annual event next weekend, September 29, in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood! It’s right around the corner, and they have given us the schedule of events for their fourth annual shindig (check the full schedule below).
In what is hailed as “[A] Frankenstein mashup of expert jammers” by New York Magazine, Brooklyn Comes Alive is bringing together members of some of the jam and funk world’s greatest artists for a one-day extravaganza across three different venues including Brooklyn Bowl, Music Hall of Williamsburg, and Rough Trade.
You won’t want to miss members from bands such as Lettuce, The Meters, Snarky Puppy, The Allman Brothers Band, Turkuaz, The Disco Biscuits, Break Science, The Nth Power, Funk You, Dumpstaphunk, The Motet and MANY more coming together for once-in-a-lifetime collaborations. There will also be special tributes to Prince, Steely Dan, Butch Trucks, Greg Allman, Col. Bruce Hampton, and more.
