Time to Open That Opposite Box!
Manic? Maniacal? Just plain nuts? If you’re talking about Opposite Box from Chattanooga, then all three apply, and a whole lot more. This amazing quartet’s self-description is spot-on: progressive soul, dirty funk, psychedelic jazz, and experimental rock. And that doesn’t even begin to touch the band’s wild antics on stage. You’d be hard pressed to have more fun than you will at an Opposite Box show.
Opposite Box are: Ryan Long, vocals, keyboards, trombone; Richard Long, guitar; Ryan Guza, drums; and Ryan Crabtree, bass.
Opposite Box hits two music festivals and an after-party — the No Place Like Home Concert Series in Louisville, Hookahville 50 in Bellefontainie OH, and Funktafest in Huntington WV. And they will host to Chicago area bands. Zoofunkyou joins OB in Bowling Green and Memphis, while EGi pairs with them in Atlanta, Athens, Charlotte, and Asheville.
