Tito’s Vodka Supports Cause at Governors Ball
Since 2014, Tito’s has been gracing the grounds of Randall’s Island in New York City the weekend of Governors Ball Music Festival. Last year, they introduced their “Love, Tito’s” program to fans and invited them to join their efforts in supporting one of their giveback partners, Musicians On Call.
This year, Tito’s returned to Gov Ball to continue supporting Musicians On Call, launching their first official Love, Tito’s Festival Experience.
We stopped by their activation, Turn Spirits into Love & Goodness, to check out the glittered bartenders serving up craft cocktails and custom bloody Marys and to learn about the impact Musicians On Call is making.
Musicians On Call is a nonprofit organization that launched in 1999, bringing recorded and live music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. They use music to support and complement the healing process for patients, family members and caregivers.
MOC has three programs. The Bedside Performance Program delivers live in-room performances to patients who are undergoing treatment or those who are bedridden. This program currently has over 50 weekly programs across the US. The Music Pharmacy Program provides hospitals with customized CDs and players for patient use at no cost. This program is currently being provided to over 800 hospitals throughout the country. The Project Playback is a program that gives patients the chance to record or create their own music. The patients can choose to do one-on-one sessions with volunteer musicians or in a group setting.
While there, we took part in the interactive pieces of the activation where we played games to win Tito’s swag, created a custom constellation by answering questions about the Tito’s brand, and then we stepped into the photo booth to make a video pledge for changes we’d like to see or make within the next year. If that wasn’t cool enough, in exactly one year from now, those videos will be emailed to everyone. Their goals are for each festival-goer who stops by to learn about the Love, Tito’s story throughout the activation, with the hope that fans will be inspired to make giving back a part of their story, too!
