StringBreak Festival Kick-Off Just Days Away

The annual StringBreak Festival is only days away. The festival runs April 5-8 at the beautiful Sertoma Youth Ranch in the rolling hills of Brooksville FL. The ranch is nestled amongst citrus groves and pasture land in southwest Florida and will host four days of music, workshops and plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy.

The lineup includes The Grand Slambovians, Phoebe Hunt and The Gatherers, Seth Walker, Fireside Collective, Nikki Talley and more.

The Lind Family have spent the last few decades putting on shows filled with national, regional and local acts. They have learned a thing or two about great music and how to bring together a lineup that represents top-notch acts from across the roots genre. The StringBreak festival will have a mix of zydeco, bluegrass, Americana and bohemian acts, and whether you have heard of the band or not, you can be assured that you will find a new favorite.

There will be activities for the whole family including hayrides, daily fun at the Kids’ tent, and musical workshops. You can also bring a costume and join in the Parade with the kids and doggies. You can check out Vendors Row for delicious food, handmade crafts and a cold beer. The Bluegrass Cafe also serves meals daily and will have ice available for sale.

The Pavillion stage

The ranch has ample primitive camping throughout the park with plenty of shady spots to choose from. Water and electric hookup sites are usually sold out well in advance, so if you plan ahead you can find one next time. The stages are all a short walk from wherever you are camped, and there are no gates in between, so you can bring your own beverages with you to the show.

Campfire picker? Well you can count on hearing some amazing jams at camp sites around the park. Look for the Too Much Fun bunch for the serious Bluegrass jam. Stop by the Jamshack and experience up-close and personal sets by the artists. With music alternating among the three stages, there will be over 20 acts and 60 performances over the four days.

Camping at StringBreak

You can get your full festival ticket at the gate, and it includes primitive camping. Parking at your site will cost $15, but you can unload at your site and leave your car at the overflow lot and avoid the fee. There will also be Day tickets available if you can’t make it for the entire weekend.

This is not a flashy lights and fog machine festival — this is a gathering for folks who enjoy experiencing music in a natural setting. So gather your gear and head to StringBreak this week.
