Gettin’ Fat and Happy on Music, Mudbugs and Beer at the NOLA Crawfish Festival
As if there weren’t enough to do in New Orleans this week with hundreds of thousands of music lovers visiting the city for The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, The NOLA Crawfish Festival gets underway today with three days of more music, beer and delectable mudbugs.
Featuring some of the city’s best local musicians, a crawfish-eating contest and cook-off, the festival goes off on April 30 and runs until May 3 at Central City BBQ, 1201 South Rampart Street.
For those attending last weekend’s mammoth Jazz Fest, The NOLA Crawfish Festival, with its intimate outdoor setting, offers the perfect venue to decompress and pinch, twist, suck and chow down on Louisiana’s most delicious of delicacies to your heart’s content.
Not to mention native stars like Samantha Fish, Ivan Neville, George Porter, Jr., and Tab Benoit will be throwing down alongside artists who carry New Orleans in their hearts including Roosevelt Collier, Luther Dickinson and John Medeski.
