Aftershock 2018 Lineup Announced
Monster Energy Aftershock Festival is returning for its seventh year, and they may have just announced the best rock lineup of the festival season. The festival takes place at Discovery Park near downtown Sacramento the weekend of October 13th and 14th. Headliners include heavy-hitters System of a Down and Deftones.
System of a Down are marking their first US appearance in three years and their first mark at Aftershock. It comes as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.
Deftones, who hail from Sacramento, will be returning to Discovery Park since playing at Aftershock 2012 and 2015. Like System of a Down, they are also relishing a band anniversary this year, marking 30 years together.
Also joining the lineup are legendary rock groups Alice in Chains, Incubus, Godsmack, Shinedown and 311. For those who enjoy heavy metal, the lineup is accompanied by bands Bullet for My Valentine, Asking Alexandria, Underoath, and Emmure. More acts are expected to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale April 13th.
