Peach Music Festival Makes Incredible Additions to Already Incredible Lineup
If you’re looking for the best jam-related music festivals, it has always been impossible to ignore The Peach Music Festival. This year’s initial lineup included so many heavy hitters, including Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band, The Dickey Betts Band (with Damon Fowler), Gov’t Mule (including a set of Dark Side of the Mule), Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, moe., Twiddle, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Blackberry Smoke, Turkuaz, Spafford, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Marcus King Band, and… well, 26 more great musicians and bands.
Nobody would have complained if that was the complete lineup. Apparently, however, The Peach Festival decided they need more. How much more?
Start with Little Feat + moe. performing Waiting for Columbus with the Turkuaz horns! That’s a festival all to itself! Oteil and Friends, and what friends! Melvin Seals, John Kadlecik, Jay Lane, Weedie Braimah, Alfreda Gerald and Scott Metzger.
More? Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will be there, and the safe money suggests they’ll play their Eat a Bunch of Peaches set! The Revivalists, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and Third World are joining the party as well.
Even more? Band of Changes will feature Harford, Scott Metzger, Dave Dreiwitz & Joe Russo. Also added are ZZ Ward, The Suffers, Kitchen Dwellers, Hayley Jane and The Primates, and Thorp Jenson. Artists at large for the festival always get a workout: prepare to see a LOT of the Turkuaz Horns & Brandon ‘Taz’ Niederauer!
The initial lineup also includes: Leftover Salmon, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Devon Allman Project featuring Duane Betts, Dumpstaphunk, Anders Osborne and Jackie Greene, Nicki Bluhm, Aqueous, and BIG Something.
And The Main Squeeze, Ghost Light featuring Holly Bowling, Tom Hamilton and more, Organ Freeman, Driftwood, The Magic Beans, Midnight North, Litz, Mo Lowda and the Humble, The Blues Stones, Soul Monde, Gatos Blancos, Flux Capacitor, JP Biondo, Bishop Gunn, Juice, Funky Dawgz Brass Band, and the great Bobby Lee Rodgers!
July 19-22 at Montage Mountain in Scranton PA.
That’s one great-tasting Peach!
