Wintergrass is Coming…
Wintergrass Music Festival, housed in Bellevue, Washington, is a wonderful music festival dedicated to preserving acoustic music for the next generation. The festival, put on by non-profit Acoustic Sound, is especially dedicated to preserving bluegrass and the community that has grown around it. The four-day fest runs February 22nd through the 25th.
With names such as the Jacob Jolliff Band, The Slocan Ramblers, Front Country, Foxfire, and so many others, many of whom play multiple times throughout the weekend, the festival has shaped itself into one of the premier bluegrass events in the entire nation. As previously mentioned, this festival in not only catering to music enthusiasts but also to the very community of bluegrass itself, with numbers of workshops about bluegrass production as well as discussion forums about the state of bluegrass and many more topics.
