As we inch nearer to Christmas and New Year’s, there is still a lot of great live music for you to check out. That is especially true of next Friday, December 22nd, with shows at a variety of venues.
It will be difficult, however, to top Funkmas. WHAT? You’ve never HEARD of Funkmas?
Take the beautiful Ringside Cafe in St. Petersburg and fill it with Holey Miss Moley, Justino and the Difference, Future Vintage and Jon Ditty. Oh, and hundreds of Hometeam fans. THAT’S Funkmas.
All except the Difference are part of the Hometeam New Year’s Rally festivities at Maddox Ranch in Lakeland December 28-31. Read more about that here.
Holey Miss Moley headline Funkmas and the Thursday night pre-party at HTNYR. This ten-member funk machine will keep you dancing all night.
Justino and the Difference are a superb fusion/prog/funk rock band with music built around Justino Lee Walker’s excellent compositions. He will be at Hometeam for two performances with JOOSE, one Thursday evening and the other Saturday morning.
Superb funktronic jamsters Future Vintage are also on the bill, and they have the privilege of closing down the rally New Year’s Eve at Hometeam.
And Jon Ditty will join the Funkmas fun; he is an artist-at-large at Hometeam, a great rapper and collaborator.
This Friday at The Ringside, you know you need some Funkmas.
