What Happened to Karoondinha Music and Arts Festival?

UPDATE: Well, it’s official. Karoondinha is another casualty of the festival bubble. In an interview with Billboard, festival organizers confirm that while they had high hopes for this new festival, ticket sales were underwhelming and decided to pull the plug just a month shy of what would have been their inaugural event. As far as refunds go, they said that is next on their to-do list. Here’s hoping it goes better than Pemberton and Fyre did…

Has anyone seen Karoondinha Music Festival? Because it seems to have gone missing. Earlier this evening the festival deleted all their social media and took down their website without notice. No announcements have been made yet to explain its sudden disappearance or offering any information on refunds if this festival has, indeed, gone the way of the failed music festival.

It was bound to happen eventually. Looks like that music festival bubble may finally be hitting the point of bursting. Pemberton filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, and who could forget the epic implosion of Fyre Festival? With just under a month until kickoff, it now appears that another new festival on the block, Karoondinha, may be next.

Bummer, too. This one seemed to have promise. Set in the Pennsylvania countryside, the festival offered pretty affordable packages (all things considered… Fyre Festival… #neverforget) and some pretty neat excursions to the nearby natural attractions. Not to mention a pretty stellar lineup featuring the likes of Chance the Rapper, Odesza, Porter Robinson, John Legend, Paramore, The Roots, Sturgill Simpson, Dillion Francis and many others.

This is a developing story, and we will keep you up to date as more information becomes available. Make sure you follow us on social media for the latest news!
