Aiken Bluegrass Festival Kicks off Today
The 13th annual Aiken Bluegrass Festival kicks off today at the Western Carolina State Fairgrounds in Aiken, SC, with a stellar lineup of some of the hottest bands in bluegrass including The Infamous Stringdusters, Billy Strings, Larry Keel, Vince Herman, Fruition and many more. There will be a troupe of at-large artists such as Allie Kral of Yonder Mountain, Andy Thorn of Leftover Salmon, Jay Starling of Love Canon and Lindsay Lou joining sets throughout the weekend, so can count on seeing some amazing collaborations. You definitely won’t want to miss out on the daily Super Jams! The schedule is pretty laid back, with only one stage, so you can just relax and enjoy the show.

There are primitive camp sites on site as well as food and crafts vendors including New Belgium Brewery and Carolina Moon Distillery. All of the proceeds from the festival will go to the non-profit Great Oak Aiken Therapeutic Riding Center, which improves the lives of those living with disabilities through interaction with horses.
