Firefly Music Festival Will Announce the Full 2017 Lineup This Week!
Firefly Music Festival is a step closer to releasing the 2017 lineup. Continuing with the interactive concept of this year’s festival, organizers held a multi-city scavenger hunt yesterday. The game ended with five winning fans receiving two VIP tickets each, and the announcement of five of this year’s Firefly performers.
Welcome to the Woodlands, MisterWives, Lil Dicky, Glass Animals, Galantis and Capital Cities. Phantogram and Busta Rhymes had previously been confirmed as well. Glass Animals, Galantis and Phantogram are sure to drum up excitement amongst many regular festival goers.

Whether you know MisterWives or not, we wouldn’t suggest missing out. The indie pop band has generated praise for their energetic live performances. They’re no strangers to the festival scene after appearances at Bonnaroo, Boston Calling, Austin City Limits and Hangout Fest. The New York-based five-piece has a little bit of everything: a powerful female vocalist, elements of EDM, the occasional hint of R&B, pop beats with a funky edge and, of course, danceability.
Lil Dicky, a member of the white upper-middle-class rapper epidemic, is more of an acquired taste. He’s comedic and catchy and will undoubtedly attract a percentage of college kids to the stage. At least the guy knows how to laugh at himself.
Electro-pop pair Capital Cities is one of those bands that you don’t have to be too familiar with to enjoy at a festival as long as you want to dance. But, it’s doubtful anyone hasn’t heard their most recognizable hit “Safe & Sound.”

Already Firefly has presented a pretty diverse lineup, and we can’t wait to see what else they have to reveal! Luckily, we don’t have to wait too much longer. Following the results of the scavenger hunt, it was announced that the full lineup will drop this Friday, January 27th, at 10 AM EST.
In the meantime, Firefly has released a recap of last year’s unforgettable weekend at the Woodlands. Watch below, and keep checking in with us for more Firefly updates. The festival takes place in Dover, Delaware, from June 15-18th.
