Joe Marcinek Compiles Another All-Star Band for Florida Run
How is this even possible? Joe Marcinek is the most incredible magnet on the planet. Wherever he goes, he puts together amazing bands with the country’s top talent. His visit to The Dunedin Brewery in October taught those in the area what plenty of other people already knew.
From his website: “JMB is an ever-evolving mixture of original compositions and incredible musicians. Each show has a slightly different lineup and interpretation.”
In addition to his compiling bands with talent such as Dr. Bernie Worrell, Fareed Haque and others, he is also a member of Fresh Hops, another great touring band.
His latest concoction is a quintet which will play three dates in Florida: Thursday, January 14th at The Dunedin Brewery, Friday at The Funky Buddha in Boca Raton, and Saturday (16th) at 1904 Music Hall in Jacksonville (with S.P.O.R.E.).
Let’s see just who will join Marcinek!
Drummer Jason Hann was just here in Florida at Suwannee Hulaween with his bands; you know: The String Cheese Incident and EOTO!
Mr. Tony Hall is half of the bass juggernaut that spearheads Dumpstaphunk!
One of the sickest keyboard players anywhere is Jim Wuest, member of The Heavy Pets and also part of several of the band’s side projects, including Lather Up! and DuBBle James, and he is a member of Funkin’ Grateful as well.
Juanjamon plays tenor saxophone and EWI (he also plays bass and keyboards). He leads his own amazing funk band and was a member of CopE, the Bay area’s premier jam band now on hiatus.
Did we mention that Marcinek is a tremendous guitar player and singer?
