Hometeam New Year’s Rally Releases Band Schedule for Four-Day Fest
The fourth annual Hometeam New Year’s Rally released the performance schedule today. Viking Guy Productions and InTentCity TeeShirts are bringing you four jam-packed days of music, celebration, fun, art, friends and more to Maddox Ranch in Lakeland FL, starting on New Year’s Eve Thursday at 4 p.m., running all the way through the Sunday Sunday Finale on January 3rd.
Justino & the Difference, a superb new band playing rock, fusion and lots more, has the honor of opening the festivities Thursday at 4. The evening features Florida’s favorite band from north of the border, Copious Jones of Atlanta. Come Back Alice covers Zep’s Song Remains the Same, and the main event ringing in the New Year is a stage rush of all the Hometeam musicians, appropriately dubbed The Hometeam All-Stars. The Juanjamon Band closes out the evening with the late set from 1:30 to 3 a.m.
Friday’s schedule for those who survive Thursday night’s blow-out features 15 hours of music, including Future Vintage, The Legendary JCs, Holey Miss Moley and S.P.O.R.E. Back-to-back-to-back sets from the Roosevelt Collier Trio, The Fritz and The Heavy Pets should be the stuff of legend. The Fritz really blew it up at the Great Outdoors Jam in July.
Saturday is similarly overloaded with funky jams. Ancient Sun, Ajeva and Serotonic kick off the afternoon. The superb Corbitt Brothers Band and The Applebutter Express will knock everybody out. Flat Land and Come Back Alice feature brilliant violinists/fiddlers Fae Nae and Dani Jani; if artist-at-large Fiddlin’ Faye Petree is in the vicinity, there’s no telling how the planets may realign! The Mantras bring their North Carolina-style jammin’ progressive rock to town, and The Werks are touring after the release of their excellent new album Inside a Dream.
Finally, Sunday. The day closes with Jimmy Jams’ Jukebox: The Sunday Sunday Finale. The Happy Campers, Leisure Chief and Atlanta’s Donna Hopkins are in the final mix.
Tickets are on sale now. Let’s review one more time:
No driving. No worries. It’s an easy stumble back to your tent. Superb lineup, great friends, and the best family anywhere.
See if you can find all of THAT anywhere else. I already know the answer.
