Global Citizen Festival Announces 2015 Lineup in Support of a Great Cause
Global Citizen, the largest free music festival, is returning to Central Park for their 2015 installment on Saturday, September 26th. The lineup, as always, is diverse and full of artists who can appeal to everyone. This year Pearl Jam, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay will take the stage on the Great Lawn. What makes this event unique is the way you acquire tickets. Those wishing to attend have to sign up for an account on their website and earn points by watching videos, signing petitions and sharing causes on social media. Once you earn a certain amount of points you can enter to win tickets. There is no limit to how many times you can enter the lottery, and you can win multiple times. Their main cause is ending global poverty and hunger by 2030, but there are also many other great causes that help their big one such as providing access to clean drinking water and educating women in developing countries. There will be 48,000 tickets given away, but New York City is a big place, and these are some big names- — so you better get started now!
