Disc Jam 2015: More Than Just Jam
Disc Jam Music Festival is just about ready to open its doors for four days of music and disc golf the weekend of June 11th, welcoming all who are not making the trek into the madness that is Bonnaroo. No matter what kind of music hits the spot for you this, line-up will make any music lover do a double take. Jam, and jam it does well, but that is not all. Some of the most impressive up-and-coming jam acts will be in Stephentown NY for Disc Jam, including Twiddle, Lettuce, Dopapod, Kung Fu, Consider the Source, Pink Talking Fish, Lespecial, and Spiritual Rez. And there are many more to grace the four stages throughout the weekend, melting faces all around.
The jam portion of Disc Jam is extremely impressive; no one can deny that, but this four-day event has so much more to offer than a couple of jam bands. They have mixed in some extremely talented electronic music to keep the party going all night long. Phutureprimative is always a fan favorite, bringing those deep trance beats to reawaken the night once again. Other DJs such as Leila Harrison, Bells and Robes, Cheat Code, Squnto, Icaro, Twist of Fate, Corey Brooks, Icculus and plenty more are guaranteed to keep you moving throughout the night. Not only do they have the jam and electronic scene separately, they also have bands that blend them ever so perfectly, such as festie favorite Electron.
Disc Jam 2015 is one that should not be missed. With four fully loaded days (Thursday’s ticket can be purchased for $10 at the door; ONLY $150 for a full three-day camping pass for Friday-Sunday), the beautiful weather in upstate NY at this time of year, and the opportunity to play Disc Golf while making new friends, Disc Jam is a must!
