Go to Wakarusa! We give you 10 solid reasons.

We think Wakarusa speaks for itself, and why would you need convincing to go to a badass music and art festival? Anyways we want to represent Wakarusa, so here you go you festafarian!

1.Diversity of the line up. Whatever your musical taste is you can find some of it “on the mountain”. Folk, electronic, hip hop, jam, reggae and everything in between are all thrown in the pot. There will be six stages with an enormous line up. Some of this years headliners are Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Major Lazer, The Roots, Thievery Corporation, STS9, Umphrey’s McGee,Slightly Stoopid, Chance the Rapper, Rebelution, Young the Giant, Portugal The Man, and Big Gigantic. No matter how diverse your group of friends may be, everyone will find music they love there!

2. Diversity of the people. With the diversity of music, comes the diversity of people. Who doesn’t love people watching at festivals? The funky people are one of the main ingredients that make music festivals so special. Wakarusa’s location will be bringing people from all directions.

3.The magical waterfall. This watering hole will help everyone withstand the elements during the hot weekend in June. This is something to be extra grateful for at a festival. It’s also a cool place to meet new people among the sea of festival goers. Thank you Wakarsua.

4. Location. The Ozark Mountains are one of the go-to destinations in the entire country. The majestic mountains make for one the most authentic festival experiences. Run away from the city to the mountains, “where music meets mother nature”.

5. Wakarusa is in a special class. In its 12th year Wakarusa has made a name for itself as one of the top festivals to go to in the country. If you need to go to a huge festival to balance at all the smaller ones throughout the year, “Waka” is one of the best choices you could make.

6. Sunsets. If being on Mulberry Mountain wasn’t perfect enough already, the sunsets send it over the top. Wakarusa hands down boasts some of the best summer sunsets on the festival circuit.

7.Adventure to Satellite Stage. Wakarusa fans have told us that this is one of the favorite experiences during the four day festival. The journey into through it’s atmosphere blended with the trees and lights is something mystical to behold. It excites the artists, so be ready for a high energy set!

8.Try something new. Life is fun when lived spontaneously. Give it a shot, road trip with your friends to somewhere you have never been before. Go to a mysterious world, and come back with stories. Festivals help most people get out of the routine, so try a new fest!

9. Sustainable workshops. Wakarusa is all about embracing the land, and want to collaborate with you to take better care of “Our Mother”. Check out some of the classes on building sustainable living environments. Leave with some new skills and knowledge!

10. ART! As cliche as it may sound, our last reason on the list is definitely not the least important. After all, music is an art form. However, painting, installations, and flow all have to be incorporated within the web of co-creation. Need somewhere to relax and turn your mind upside down? Installation structures and live painting are always clutch.
