Why You Should Be Excited Twiddle is Coming To Bonnaroo
Although Bonnaroo has become one of Americas premier music festivals known for its eclectic mix of genres and artists that play over the course of four days, it started as a festival for jam bands. While we love all of the different genres Bonnaroo has to offer, it’s always nice to see the festival return to its roots. Bonnaroo announced their Club Stage lineup additions yesterday, where the festival puts ‘up and coming’ acts who will often get to play multiple times throughout the weekend. The Club stages include Cafe Wha?, The Miller Lite Tent, Sonic Stage and Solar Stage. Some of the biggest acts have graced these stages, and have gone on to play a major tent or stage in years to come.
One of our favorite additions from this announcement was Vermont based Twiddle. If you’ve never heard of Twiddle but love jam bands, well… what are you doing?! They have been gaining a lot of traction on the jam scene for a few years now and have made the rounds of the small festival circuit. Their sound is self described as ‘3-Dimensional’ and face melting, with a perfectly blended combination of funk, reggae, bluegrass and jazz.
We’re even more excited for Twiddle to come to the farm because there is a serious lack of jam on the 2015 roster. Hopefully their addition means that Bonnaroo will start to show some love to growing jam bands who can bring back the jam community Bonnaroovians love. If you’re heading to the farm this year, be sure to make some time to support the club stage acts like Twiddle, so we can keep the jam bands coming back!
